Challenge Numbers
Find
out which of your characteristics is the primary source
of discontent and unhappiness in your life. Numerology
tells us of many challenges, but this page deals with
your principle obstacle - your MAJOR challenge - and
explains how to overcome it. To calculate your
major challenge number, first determine which method of
dating is used in your country of birth. For
example:
If you were born in the USA, the dates
run with the month first, then the day, and then the
year.
Example: 12-31-1975 = December 31
1975.
Subtract the month from the year, i.e.
1975 - 12 = 1963.
Then add these numbers together.
1+9+6+3 = 19.
Keep adding until a single digit is
obtained. 1 + 9 = 10. 1 + 0 = 1.
The challenge number, in this case is
1.
If you were
born in the UK (and most other countries), dates run with
the day first, then the month, then the year.
Example: 31-12-1975 = 31
December 1975.
Subtract the day from the year, i.e.
1975 - 31 = 1944.
Then add these numbers together.
1+9+4+4 = 18.
Keep adding until a single digit is
obtained. 1 + 8 = 9.
If your
challenge number is 0, this does not mean that you have
no challenges. On the contrary, it means that your
initial challenge is 9, but you will also find a little
bit of yourself in ALL the challenge numbers. This
means that you may often have to choose which challenge
applies to you at a particular time. And, that, is
what the 0 challenge is ultimately about - making the
right CHOICE.
