2018 Yearly Numerology

Each year, on January 1st, we enter a new calendar cycle which holds a distinct personal theme for 2018. A simple calculation lets you know which yearly numerology cycle you are in. Just add the numbers in your day and month of birth to the numbers in the current year.

Example Birthday = November 24

Month = 11

Day = 2+4 = 6

Year = 2+0+1+8 = 11

11+6+11 = 28
Keep adding until you get a single digit. 2+8 = 10 and 1+0 = 1

In this example, someone born on November 24th will be in the 1 Year Cycle throughout 2018. Just click on your yearly number below… and discover the nature of your journey ahead…

Use your YEAR NUMBER to read your monthly and weekly forecasts, too…

7 Year 8 Year 9 Year

Why do you say that the yearly cycle starts on January 1st, when some numerologists say it starts on your birthday?

Which method you follow is your choice, but this is what I have found to be the most accurate, and why.
To calculate the personal year, we add the numbers of the day and month of birth to the specific numbers of the current calendar year. Numerology cycles are based on the calendar, and a calendar year always begins on January 1st (unlike astrology, which is based on Solar Return, not raw numbers). On the day you were born, the calendar cycle had already begun. You were born at a specific point within that cycle.

    Dear Christine, I am french and I live in the Pyrénées Orientales in France. I study Numerology for nearly 20 years…. What you call the year Cycle, I call it the Personnal Year…. i agree with you with this, but you dont detail the year Cycle ….. I do. Just like the life cycles, I detail the year cycles , and it is so true, so helpful !! And when somebody is born near the end of the year I think it is completely correct to use also the year before…Maybe my english is not so good to explain this….. I am sure you know this…. But you dont talk about i. I use all the names just like given on our birth date, and with a long practice I can say it is so exact !… Too bad you

      Hello Mylène,

      Under the Yearly Cycle (Personal Year calculations), there are links to each of the Yearly Numbers, which I describe in much detail.

      I also use the full birth name when constructing a chart – also the current name – also the country of birth since the USA is the only country that uses the month/day/year/ format. If you were not born in the USA, the format is day/month/year – otherwise the positioning of the long term cycles will be out of order.

      As for the personal year calculation, I understand that some numerologists use the birthday-to-birthday method, but many do not. I do not find it to be accurate. I have used both methods since I started studying the numbers in 1981, and I see the calendar year as a cycle in itself made up of the numbers it contains, and that each of us was born somewhere within that cycle. I know there is disagreement on this issue, but I must use what I have found to be the most accurate.

      It’s always nice to speak with other numerologists. Numbers are the building blocks of life, and we are just touching the surface of what there is still to learn.

      With love,
